stupid starter questions

i know, that these questions are dumb, but i did a search and cant seem to find my answers. its like 7 degrees outside, and i need to replace the starter in my car(86, n/a), so im trying to get done as quick as i can before i freeze. my first problem is that i cant even find the starter? and the second question is do i need to remove anything else to get to it or remove it? i remember a few years back on my dads old buick, i think the engine mounts may have been removes and the engine lifted a bit to get it out. thanks for the help guys

Your starter is on the driver's side on the back of the engine. You can reach it by raising the car on stands and getting under it behind the left front wheel. Nothing is in the way of it as I recall. You should just be able to get in there and take it out. Be sure to clean up the electrical connections good when you put the new one on to get a good contact too.
