stupid starter question

So, i'm pretty sure my starter decided to quit on me, and i've heard theres a difference between n/a and turbo starters.

my car is s4 t2 motor, w/ n/a trans. Would i need a turbo starter or n/a starter?

it depends on the tranny as the bolt patern is different. get a NA starter.

you need an n/a starter for the n/a transmission. the starter doesn't care if the engine is turbo or not. a turbo starter won't fit onto an n/a transmission.

most conventional thinking is that the turbo engine starter would need to be more stout when in fact the reverse is true, turbo engines are lower compression and easier to turn over but the starter motors are identical but the solenoid positioning is different.
