stupid question probably

So I pulled my motor got it apart but not going to be able to do the rebuild till the first part of feb. Should I clean the oil off the parts such as the e-shaft or should i just leave it till i do rebuild it?

clean them off and re-oil them with clean oil so they do not rust in storage.

they will rust within a matter of a week if you leave it out for the elements.

^ this. the piston people would clean everything, oil it, and put it in a plastic bag, and then put that into a cool dry place.
