Stupid question ... have to ask
I am trying to pull the steering wheel off and I have never done it before. I undid the one bolt under the Mazda cover, and that is all I see. I tryed pulling it. Nothing happened. Am I missing something? Should i pull harder?
Sorry for such a lame question but I have to ask.
God Bless

Just that 13/16ths size nut holds the wheel on. For the first time removing it in a decade or so...you might need a steering wheel puller or any other kind of puller that will fit. I used a puller on mine.
That said, I've been told on this forum that the right way to pull the steering wheel is to undo some nuts/screws/fasteners on the backside of the wheel. Sorry...I've never done it that way. Seems a retarded way to get a steering wheel off.
Bottom line....once the nut is off.....use force, either a puller or wiggle bam from the backside/rim/whereever.

Make sure the bolt is a little screwed on or ull hit ur face with the wheel.
