Stupid question about intercooler piping and things getting sucked into your intake.

Whenever I'm messing with my intake, i get really nervous that something is going to get into it. And i was thinking; When you have a front mount intercooler setup, the air has to be forced through a lot of piping before it gets into the engine. But when seting it up, there very well could be like, little pieces of dirt or some **** in the pipe or somethign that could get sucked into the intake...
Should you spray a hose through the tubs or somethign before you put everythign together? or what do you do to make sure there isnt crap of any kind (dead bugs, etc) that will get sucked into your engine?

yea just like the intake you dont want anything to be in the pipes, if you did it will be sucked in the motor and possibly damage a seal. no fun.

I generally run compressed air through mine in the opposite direction of the intake to make sure everything's clean/etc. Other than that, just make sure you don't allow anything to get in the pipes by leaving them open/etc.

After I'm done porting, or cutting intake pipe, or what have you I usually spray compressed air through it a bunch until I cant see anything left in there, and then I spray a bunch of water through the ports/hole whatever to get anything else that might be in there out. Then I let it all air dry and reinstall.
