Stupid lights got me a ticket
Ok, so one minute my running lights work as I leave my friends house then next thing I know I'm getting pulled over for having no tail lights. They were working just fine before i left, I even saw that they were on with my own two eyes. So today I checked and replaced all my fuses and checked my bulbs and they seem fine, but still no lights. The weird thing is the running lights in the front don't even work anymore either but my signals still work, my hazards still work, my reverse lights still work, and so do my headlights. It boggles my mind, anyone have even an idea with what could be wrong or howI could go about tackling this problem?

yes your switch is OWNED! you can replace it or add in your own switch for the running lights and use the stock switch for headlights as I have done

MENDOZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i thought it was
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, (Select)Start.
the select only necesarry if he is co-moderating
anyway back in the day i got pulled over for the same thing. i didn;t even know my tail lights were out. then i saw the cop (family friend..distant relative) and got relieved. i said wassup to him and he yelled at me so then i got worried because everyone around the hood has a hard time. he's one of those "Tough badass" type cops. he yelled "let me see your licence!" so i gave it to him. he saw my name, shined his flashlight in my face and said hi. he told me to get it fixed and let me go. i was lucky i knew him.

Both combinations are valid. It depends on which version of the game you had. I believe the first one posted is for the original Contra, but the second one posted is for the sequal.

Keep Right Except to Pass
That part of the FAQ is pretty vague.
Your headlight switch switch gets melted and you have to either repair it or get another. I've come to believe that the cause is an under-engineered electrical system built too light to handle all the years of corrosion.
To keep the same thing from happpening again you need to do some preventative maintenance. Put a relay on the taillight circuit.
I went through this a while back. You can read my story and the solution with a crude schematic of the relay here. http://www.teamfc3s.org/forum/showth...&threadid=6939

Ok i read the FAQ but it still doesn't explain why my brake lights don't go on. I've replaced the switch now also. Ichecked the plug that goes onto the bake pedal and that is still tight but still no brake lights. Anyone?

I have the same problem as you guys were having. My headlights and brake lights work, but my running lights and taillights don't work. I took off my light switch and found that it has the exact same wire fried as HeffBoost's did. So replacing the whole switch is what I need to do to correct the problem....right? It seems that all the wires are getting power and continuity. Any advice is appreciated.
