stupid alarm!!!
alright 88 n/1 vert first of all. so i knew i had the security light on the inside. well i reached in and unlocked the driver door and opened it and the freakin alarm went off....I DIDNT KNOW I HAD AN ALARM!!!! and yes it is factory. so i popped the hood, unhooked the battery, hooked it back up, and guess what no alarm... hurray....but then i went to start it and nothing. all the lights work, even the idiot ones, turn signal works, wipers work, just car wont even click. its like the car disabled something. anyone know how in the hell i can start my car???

well when you unlock your car with the key it will turn the alarm off, and probably reset it so you can start the car. cause it kills the starter when the alarm goes off.

yah it just freaked me out really. but is there a way to reset the starter or something because all the fuses check out and the key just still turns with no cranking. everything is perfect but that.

you should've just opened the door with your key. of course if you lock it and closed the door, the car thinks you're outside, if you reach in while the alarm is armed, and unlocked it, what do you think it'll do? it will think that someone smashed the window and trying to steal the car.

yah the car i guess thinks that the owner is starting it with the key in the ignition...i just want to know how to start it now....there apparently is no reset button, ive tried unlocking all the doors and locking them several times, and even did the truck latch a few times with nothing but the turn of the key and nothing.....what should i do now...
