stup car will not idle

i just rebuilt my engine for my 88 vert and have it running fairly well, but it is idling very low....like 350-500, iv adjusted the air adjuster screw all the way up and it isnt helping, if i turn it the other way it just konks out. should i check the idle mixture or adjust it somehow. or can anyone suggest anything else, im really frusterated at this point.

thats really hard to say what it could be.

do you have all your grounds connected from you engine to your chassis at the back? is timing set correctly?
after its fully warmed up is it still that low? all electrical connections tight? fuel lines connected in the correct orientation(not flowing the opposite direction)?
this might sound stupid but got oil?

nothing can be more frustrating than having mysterious problems after hours of labor and trying to make sure not a thing is off.

yea, it's really a huge list of things that could be the problem...egr, isc, bac, clogged filter even?

on another note, i'd like to hear what a 350-500rpm idle sounds like...mine idle hasn't dropped below 1500 for a while, plus i have some exhaust leaks, so i've gotten used to quite a loud car

TPS ftw when i adjusted a friend of mines and he has a s4 his idle would be like past 1k so as soon as fixed it. it was controllable with the air adjuster screw on top of the intake manifold.

is there any bouncing of the idle? or just solid 1300

TPS adjustments aren't made on top of the UIM, that adjusts the idle speed.

here is how a rotary sounds at 350-500 idle
DA da DA da DA da DA da and so forth,
however i replaced my injectors with another pair an it seems to have helped a little bit. im gonna take it into work and check for vacuum leaks and bad connections as soon as my new stickers come in.

He was talking about the air adjuster screw being on top of the intake, not the TPS. Actually it's more like idle speed adjust screw on top of Throttle Body.

I'd adjust the TPS sensor (when warm), and then check/adjust timing to factory specs., and then adjust idle again (you're supposed to re-check it after timing adjustments).

BTW, did you set the initial set jumper near the leading coil before adjusting idle? FSM in my sig.

vacuum leaks, maybe... i'd go with the TPS also, but check your vacuum lines too, it wont hurt.
