stuck side seals

i am use to working on older engines. when the side seals break you just use a broken one and slide it over so you can remove it. on these s5 rotors i am working on the side seals are real weak and that trick wont work. anybody got a good trick to removing these bitches???? whats a good tool to use?

Hope you guys find a solution cause I have 2 s4 rotors and all the side seals are stuck down from sitting in the pile in the back of a 7 I bought for god knows how long.

haha, thats some funny ****. i diddnt even think to search, or in this case just look at the first page. lol. one thing that worked for me is to grab the spring under the side seal and it gradually breaks it out a little at a time. all good until the spring breaks or the piece gets too small and the spring will just slide out.

on some s4 rotors i was able to slide a very thin flathead screwdriver through the groove to get most of it out. Some of it I never got out (not re-using them anyway)

you get one of those small picks that mechanics use for differant things. You know the one that is curved in a 90* angle at the tip. That fits perfectly in the side seal groove.
