once again im prolly gonna make a fool of myself but can you put a strut tower brace on a T2 or will the intercooler be in the way?

I don't know of anyone who makes one that would interfere with the intercooler.

I do know from experience that the following braces fit with no problem:
Racing Beat
Cusco
Mazdaspeed
