strut mount tow hook

strut mount tow hook
Anyone really tackled that yet? I've got an extra strut bar brace I think I'm going to try to make into a tow hook that will fit in between the fender and hood. worse come to worse I can modify the hood but I'd be neat to be able to have a piece like this and not modify anything for fitment...any advice or pointers let me have it please...
some questions I have are what thickness of steel should I use?
finsh, like powder coat, paint, rhino liner etc?
and finallly is that an appropriate place to mount something like that?
Ive seen these towhooks for corollas and 240's but never any fc's so I just want to be sure
thanks!

Sounds bad to me. I don't want the guy towing my car anywhere near my paint with those chains. Anyway, there should be a factory tow hook mounted in the drivers side bottom corner of the grill.
