Strut Bar Question's

Hey I was wondering if any of these strut bars are ok?

number 1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FRONT...89859270QQrdZ1

number 2

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/86-92...90300494QQrdZ1

number 3

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAZDA...90197269QQrdZ1

Let me know or do you think i should stay with common name brands. I know strut bars don't do a whole lot unless you have a sway bar kit and suspension done and I'm still looking for some of those. I'll be doing autocross so any help would be great.

i have number 2.... mine's made by megan though, it works great....

BUT the mounts, though the holes line up near perfectly, wont sit flush with your strut-tower, so you have to tighten the hell out of them and make sure they are tight, it will bent to the contours of the strut tower and hold very tightly....

Ebay strut bars = crap. Spend the extra money and get one that will last and not be a POS.

The last owner of my car put an ebay strut bar on like number 2, and that thing NEVER fit properly or tightened all the way. I could get it on, but if I tried to tighten the bar so it was sturdy, it would never help. I could grab the bar and shake it back and forth because it was loose.

I had the same thing on my 10AE when I bought it. It sucks that there's guys out there selling $4 strut bars trying to make people like us who make good stuff look like we're out to rip people off.

I bought one similiar to option 2. The fit was fine with the strut towers, but I had to get a shorter alt belt to drop the pulley to clear, and the bar does rub on the hood insulation a little. I did notice that it stiffened up the front a bit.

Same here, but I just grinded on the inside radius of the mounts until is sat flush with the strut tops. Mine works fine, and I've done several auto-x events. (if it matters, I have stock base-model sway bars, a himni racing lower bar, kyb-agx's w/ eibach springs)

i didnt touch the mounts, they pulled and formed well to the contours of the strut-tower, mind you it spooked the hell outa me when i put it on and it's barely sitting there....

i got the rear CS strut bar in the mail just last week, along with their SS braided brake lines.
good quality stuff, although unfortunately i am going to have to talk to them because they screwed up my shipping.
i paid good $$$ for 3 day shipping and it ended up taking more than a week (of business days).

We're in the US, a week is about as fast as I can make something go to Canada. Sorry about that. Especially if Customs wants to be a bitch about it and hold it for some reason.

Ok so the smart consensus is to spend the extra cash and get the CS set.
