I was wondering if one of those $8.25 strut bars on ebay would work as good as a more expensive one, i dont see much difference in appearance, maybe strength?? i dont know, please let me know your results if you have purchased one.

the question is though will that extra 50+ bucks be worth it for something like that?
the ebay strut tower bars do make a difference I will say that and mine has been reliable
though I will also be upfront though and say you prolly will have to grind the hole a little bit... nothing hard and a little dremel solves that EASY
also as far as the mounting plate can be welded up to make a strong connectiong if you are really worried about it

OR... you could make a real one that actually works or buy one from mazdatrix, its gotta tie to the firewall and the more connections it makes the better. oh and aluminum likes to bend. I go through it like budda on a lathe, so don't get one made out of that stuff.

but for a cheap improvement the ebay bar works
I'm not trying to promote it
just more or less saying the strut bar while works isn't the weakest link
the improvement isn't going to be the HUGE difference tires, springs, struts would make
so why go out pay 150-250 for a strut bar when you can get one for 8.95+shipping and get only a little less stiffness and that can be touched up by some simple work to it
to me paying an extra 100 or so on another strut bar when I can save some bucks and work with a cheap one to fit my needs.... eh I would rather go with the cheap one right now

I had an Ebay strut bar, it fit with no problems (no cutting/grinding necessary) and I could tell a slight difference, nothing much though. I now have an RB strut brace, just because it looks much nicer, and I can afford it now. I dont think Ill notice much difference, but I like how the RB one is not adjustable, and MUCH thicker, so there is no chance of flexing.
