is it true that you will fail emmissions if you do a street port?

Well I think you can get by if you have ALL the smog crap on and the car is running well.

That in its self defeats the point of modding the car. IMO

my car's got a street port on it and it'll pass smog (when i put back the cats).

originally, it didn't and i had to get the s-afc tuned to run the car lean to pass smog.

but you can pass smog with a street port

I would think that as long as it was not ported to give too much more overlap of exhaust closing and intake opening (and if the cat was still there) it would be possible to pass emissions testing.
