I have gremlins in my wiring. My clock went out and my door light came on with the doors closed. I cleaned the switches but made no difference. I found if I place my overhead light switch in anything but the center position the door light works normally. If I use my remote mirror switch in either the right or rear adjustment position the clock works normally until I release the switch. If I place the overhead light switch in the center position and press the mirror switch the light comes on. In no case do my map lights illuminate now. This all seems to have ocurred after trying to start the veh when the Pos battery terminal was not making good connection. I have searched the site the FAQs and archives but not able to find the solution. Also when adjusting either mirror the opposite mirror also moves but to a lesser degree. None of this was happening before. It all worked normally. I would surely appreciate any input.

Thanks, Icemark. You were correct. I replaced the fuse and it blew immediately. I have a direction now, to troubleshoot the short.

 

I found the source. I have isolated it to the Remote Mirror switch. My next project is to try to understand why.
