Angry Strange starting issues....

So....i have gone over the 1000 mile mark on the rebuild with 3mm seals (and i think a porting of some sort....) i got it with like maybe 50 miles on it from fail carb deal.

its is a 1897 TII with no emissions.

now, the only way to get the car to start is if i use a fuel cut switch. I have good compression but it will only fire at like 20psi ish until it cranks over. I thought after driving it for awhile problem might improve but so far...no luck. I have a fuel pressure gauge permaently mounted outside the car so i know what the fuel is doing. but i cant seem to reason out how the car hates starting so bad. The injectors are stock. it idles at 35psi of fuel.

thoughts as to how the car wont start? maybe when i finish wiring the emanage i could lean out the below 500 rpms enough to make it start....but that seems both stupid and unsafe.

Depending on the condition of the housings those big 3mm seals may not be seated yet.

What are the current compression numbers?

oh this is like the motors third rebuild. and the rear housing is a different housing that the front. (not from the same original motor) easy to see. so it could still not be seated. maybe i wont get on it for awhile and cruise in it more....

Those numbers are not there yet, but will probably get better soon.

I thought it took 2-3k to properly break in a rotary.

I would suggest at least 1500 miles for a proper break in. Three mill seals will take longer to seat.
