Strange spark plug ?

Ok so I went and pick up the usual supplies from the local autoparts store for a tune up.(front pads, castrol gtx20w50,oil filter,plugs,2 cycle oil,ect.....)

Anyways I just put the new plugs in and when I pulled all of the new ones out all of them had silver ends except one which was gold. They all are BUR9EQ's I have never seen different colored plugs like this before. I buy plugs all the time and I was just curious if anyone else has ever seen anything like this before.

I dont think that there will be any difference in the two but I just wondered if anyone else had ever seen anything similar.

You should have two BUR7s and two BUR9s. The color from gold to silver is probably ok. I called NGK and they switched plating so that all new plugs are silver tip due to EPA restrictions for plating. Old stock left may be gold. I'm sure other brands are similar.

He is right, 7s and 9s stock but for his car 9s all around would be better.
