strange problem while driving

ok i have a 90 NA that starts to bog and thrash really bad arfter a while when im driving. when it starts doing this ill ususally pull over turn the car off start it up again and it will drive fine again. It is a 5 speed but for some reason i dont think thats the problem. im wondering if anyone has heard of or had something simular to this happen.

tps is plugged in, could the tps be faulty?

Could be rust/garbage in the gas tank. As you drive it sucks some of the debris up into the fuel lines. When you shut it off and it sits for awhile the junk settles out. Check and consider replacing your fuel filter. Been there myself with an older car (not an RX-7) and had to deal with it in the Arizona desert.

how is your fuel pressure? I had a similar problem when one of my fuel injection hoses was worn pretty bad. when the car warmed up, the hose got hot, expanded, and leaked just enough to bog the car something awful.

edit: shutting it off would temporarily rectify the problem, like you said. who knows, it's something to check I guess.
