I've got a 91 NA, having some strange problems, but seems only to happen after the car heats up. After a 15-20 minute drive on the Highway going home after work, I will park the car in the driveway and then a halfhour or so later when I need to run back out to the store, the car runs what is best described as in limp mode, now it will do this for anywhere between 10 to 15 min, and then run fine again out of nowhere. In the morning it's fine, an after it does this and starts driving normal, no matter how many times i stop and start the car again it will be fine... it's just after sitting for a short period and the car is already warm that it does this.
