Strange electrical problem

My car just recently developed an odd electrical issue

When it occures, i get intermenent power if any at all thoughout the car. i measured for example 2.5volts at my cig plug, 5volts in some fuses in the inside fuse box etc etc.

the batt is good, ive tried 3, all with the same result.

whats real odd, is the batt will still show 12v when this happens, the cables do not get hot, theres no odd smell, etc etc

once in a while (this last time) i loose power completly, no juice anywhere, after a few minuts i get power back?

It generaly happens when i try to start the car, however ive had it happen when i had the key on acc and simply turned on something else

Car is an 86 GXL, wolf3d with a comso re etc etc however the majority of the power distrabution harneses are unmolested, i ted in where apporpriate (stock fuel pump wiring powers my relay for my pump which pulles from my own fuse box, injectors pull from switched igntion from stock map sensor etc etc)

the car has been on the road for 3 years, nothing crazy worke don between the last times i drove it and now when this issue occured. im lost any idea's?

Turned out to be a loosened and quite corroded clamp on the lug on the the negative battery terminal - it's not the OEM lug, but one of those bolted clamp types. Cleaned and brushed everything (terminals, etc) reconnected and it started right up after that.

Might have gotten rid of some dash light dimming issues too, since the voltmeter isn't dipping like it used to but I only drove it for 5 minutes after the fix.. And it may just be me hoping the dimming is gone.

Hope it helps.
