straight t04? 1fastt2, others' thoughts?
someone i know has had a freshly rebuilt straight t04 come into his posession and he can't use it.
he also has a brand new tial 40mm wg.
he's looking to put these on my car. $400 for the turbo, $350 for the wg, and he'll build me a custom fmic for it. all i'd have to do is get the manifold which i think there is one available for this turbo.
is it worth it? this turbo was meant to put 600hp in a 'stang supposedly. i'd be happy with 350rwhp.
i was looking at just buying the greddy td06 kit but this seems like too good a deal to pass up.
i'd have to get injectors and have the ecu remapped to handle over 65% duty cycle, but it still comes out as a much cheaper cost.

Sounds like a half desent deal. Before you buy anything though, get the turbo specs, specifically the turbine size of the turbo. A/R and what trim the turbo is.
I never felt that any turbo "kits" are worth it, except for maybe the GT35/40 kits. Its better to buy all the components that suit your needs rather then a kit with everything just thrown together.
