"Stop" dummy cluster signal?

Oh man i haven't posted on rx7 club in so long! it feels good to be back. Anyway, I had the stop symbol light up a few times last week, and im not sure what it means. I assumed it was for low break fluid or maybe worn down break pads? But at any rate it has stopped lighting up since then. I know my pads are pretty worn but the break fluid's good.

-thanks

Either a brake light bulb burned out or the fluid's low. I can't remember which one it is. If the light's been on and it stopped suddenly, it probably burned out too...

S4 or s5? almost sounds like an S5.. Not sure s4 or s5 cars have sensors on the brake pads. Maybe it wants you to Stop Driving it?

Low fluid if it is always on, if it only comes on when you step on the pedal it is a burned out bulb.

on an s4 anyway

The Stop light deals w/the brake light(s) being burned out while the Brake light deals w/the emergency brake and or the brake fluid level being low. The brake lights have two filaments as opposed to one so they are finicky as to what type of bulb you use as a replacement.

yep thats what it was, one of the bulbs was out. I feel dumb thinking about it now but it just so happens a friend of mine told me it was out the other day, and went to replace it and that's the last time i saw the warning. I guess i never put 2 and 2 together... thankyou all. I can rest easy knowing its not something serious. like my car not wanting me to drive it haha
