stock wastegate dump pipe!?

check this out, i found it when i was checking out some of vosko's pics.

does anyone actually produce this item? it looks like a great idea to get more exhaust flow... and to rid that boost creep if you have an S4 (aside from porting the wg)
you could get one of those and just have that pipe routed down to your downpipe, or be hardcore and just leave it open so your boost is deafening

I had one custom-made when I replaced the (cracked) stock downpipe. The wastegate pipe merges into the main pipe. I've yet to port the wastegate so it's probably not doing me much good at the moment, but in terms of wastegate flow (and hence boost control) it's a further improvement over just porting.

do you all think it would net and gains other than spool time?

edit: also it looks like you'd need some kind of divider between that and the turbine to keep the turbulance down..

Yes it will. The normal path for wastegate gases has the merging at 90deg with the flow exiting the turbine. This creates a lot of turbulence, which restricts both turbine and wastegate flows. By separating those flows and merging them smoothly further downstream, you significantly lower that restriction, increasing power and boost response. How big those gains are depends entirely on how well it's made.

Yep, you want to keep the flows totally separate. On mine, the main pipe had a section cut out of the end so that when it was slipped through the flange a section poked through and formed a divider.
