stock turbo/stock fuel

if i have a stock turbo along with a stock fuel system and i gut the cats am i decreasing my hp due to no back pressure, does it stay the same or did i improve it? thanx guys

With a turbo you want the least amount of backpressure possible so no you aren't hurting it. However gutting the cats turbulates the air so its not as much power as a straight pipe would be. However still better than stock.

the main reason i ask is because before i gutted the cats, when i would romp on the gas and the turbo would engage.. i could feel it, usually by being pressed into the seat but now i don't feel anything anymore i just see my boost guage climbing upwards.. any ideas

maybe you guted half of it which now blocks the other half? I don't know

you should have more power and boost. but are probably reaching fuel cut limits.
