Stock Turbo II clutch questions

Okay so I'm not sure if I have the stock clutch or not. The guy who owned the car before me rebuilt the motor and turbo, the motor was very aggressively street ported. Anyways I never asked if he upgraded the clutch too. First of all does the stock Turbo II clutch feel any different than the stock NA clutch? I heard it was a little bigger but I don't know if that means it's any stiffer or what.

Second of all, what's the max HP or Torque that the stock turbo II clutch can handle? This is important to me because I'm thinking I might want to replace it if it's stock.

You should give a little more information on your car....

Was this a NA - TII swap? If so, does it have a TII driveline?

I've heard 250 - 300 HP on the stock TII clutch.

Original Turbo II with a rebuilt motor and turbo. Then I built a v-trim hybrid and I run 12 psi on it. My car's down till I get a datalogit. While it's down, I'm thinking about upgrading clutches. Does the turbo II clutch feel like an NA clutch because my turbo clutch is way stiffer than the NA.

Don't know about the feel compared to a N/A, but I have the stock clutch assembly, run 12lbs no problems.
As we purchased the TII new, the original clutch lasted 145,000 miles, started slipping under boost, so pulled
immediately and found the disc was still good but the plate had lost it's holding power.
I'd say if the car is going to be driven aggressively/hard, I'd certainly replace the unit.

OEM the TII does not feel stiffer than N/A, if you are referring to pedal pressure. They pretty much feel the same. If your pedal is significantly stiffer than an N/A, it is probably upgraded.

That being said, stiffer is not necessarily better. I love Centerforce clutches. Much stronger grip without a much stiffer pedal.

plus a stock turbo clutch can actually hold around 350whp or more, not sure who came up with the lower numbers but i have never had my clutch slip to that power level.
