Stock turbo hardware replacement?

Hello,

I just pull apart my HT18 S5 turbo, and found severely bent turbine shaft,

Now I'm looking into either repair or replacement, and I would like some help on where to look. Or perhaps a hybrid option.

I would like to know if it's possible to repair a bent turbine shaft such as take it to a machine shop and have them rebalance it. If not, what are my options as far as replacement.

Any input is appreciated.

I was looking up the spec and found this turbine wheel to be close to the spec

Is there anything that I am missing which can make this wheel not fit?

The measurements for the shaft where it rides on the bearings, the measurement where the oil seal rides, the overall length of the shaft, etc. Also, I may not know what the inducer/exducer specs are on the HT18, but I'd find it super hard to believe that a 20g mitsu shaft would fit the hitachi.

Your best option is to post a wanted ad for a turbine shaft (apparently hard to come by).

If you want to convert to a hybrid, then you'll need a new backplate, compressor housing, and get the whole thing balanced. It's really not hard, Hypertek made a thread about it a while back.

Or send it to BNR
