if anything was broken or swapped i woulda said it. the interior is in fine shape, no tears or anything. everything works except the idle. he has all maintenance records, and the title is clear.
what do you mean it won't idle? it doesn't hold an idle or it just has idle quirks? It could be just as simple as a vacuum leak.
Whatever it is... you're probably looking at a rebuild with this car very soon.

$2500 bux is your anti into the TII game. Not bad......just understand, you need to spend another grand to put a rebuild into the motor.
If you want a daily driver and you only own a 146 piece mechanics tools set from K-mart then, no, it is not for you
If you have the passion for a super quick car adn are willing to put up with the fact that your going to have to watch Bruce Torringtons boring rebuild video 29 times over....then yea, a nice clean TII for $2500 bux would be great.

Could be, but the MUCH more likely cause is vacuum leak. If the car runs smooth, starts easily and has good acceleration, the Buy It. Two & a half large is a good price and I can almost promise you that the idle problem is vacuum leak.
And, very likely it's in the plenum from the AFM to the Turbo Intake. It has a habit of splitting and you'll never get it to idle with air leaking in ANYwhere past the AFM.

You may have to rebuild piston engines after 75,000 miles, but a rotary is just starting.
This is my daily driver, and I tinker with it on an occasional weekend. My tools are from Sears mostly, but I have far from a fully equipped shop.
on Bruce's video; *I* found it quite fascinating - granted he's no Richard Simmons, but I wasn't expecting to be entertained. The information is well worth the 40 bucks and I gained a much better understanding of our rotary engines.

Speed limits are 75Mhp on the Interstate, and 15 over is tolerated, so i don't baby it.
