Stock T2 Clutch Rating

How much HP can the stock clutch handle? My car at high rpm seems to slip a bit I lose power for a sec then it kicks back in, AFM says rich still thinkin it might also be my fuel pump. I some how am running around 12 psi on stock setup noticed crusing around 80 the car bogs for a bit like the 3500 hesitaion kinda bog but does it around 5k+ w/ boost. Car is a 87 T2 swap Apexi BOV pretty much the only big mod stock TID, didnt know stock TID would go past 9psi.

From my experience, a good stock clutch starts to slip under load around 250-275 at the engine. You're approaching that now, if not already there. A lot depends on your driving style, too. Keep in mind that if you have issues with slipping, you might change your clutch habits...heating the clutch one good time (slow launch, slow to let out pedal all the way) can make it slip for several more minutes.

Wathc your RPMS... if they go up but the car seems to dog out.... your clultch is slipping. IF the RPMS stay constant, and the car dogs out, could be a whole lot of things...

Stock TID will most certainly go past 9 PSI... its the stock filter box that really restricts the air.

If thats one of those 2 1/16 inch gauge afm's hooked to the stock o2 sensor, i wouldn't trust that to tune...
