the male connector is for the rear antenna. The other female connector is for the front glass.

You should be able to us either one. I'm currently using the one for the back but I'm going to be changing it to the one in the front window (the back ones hole is getting filled in)

I believe that all aftermarkets only support a single antenna, and why would you use the antenna anyway? Cd's or mp3's are all a driver need...but anyway you will also need a relay switch to get the rear antenna to go up properly.

alpine!!!
and i think( not sure) you can only use the antenna on the back because of the plug in... unless you get a dif. plug in to connect to windshield antenna...dunno.. anyway, if you want radio you def. need the antenna.. i couldnt pick nothin up without it.

I had to replace the power antenna. I just got a stubby antenna (non-powered). Now when i goto turn on the stock radio, it just clicks (I can hear it turn on from the small thump fromt he speakers) but it wont' do anything else. The display doesn't show anything and no sound comes out of the speakers. I removed the whole antenna and relay. Does the radio require the relay to turn on properly?
