Stock springs?

Are any aftermarket springs stock height? I don't remember new FC3's sitting high like 4x4's so I don't want a 1.5in drop and I don't want to have to creep over speed bumps.

My stock springs are weak and just want original ride height.

Eibach prokits are .8" drop. When I put mine on I had about 5/8" drop, so my stock springs were slightly saggy. It does not look like it is dropped, the alignment was easy to set with no additional modifications and I have no problem with ground clearance. Keep in mind that this is on a vert and I used TII prokit springs.

You can get stockers on the mazdatrix site.

I think for the same price you can get some ground control coilover sleeves with adjustable ride height.

FWIW, I have some lowering springs on my car (eibach) and I have no issues with speedbumps. You will need some sort of rear camber adjuster though.

+1. With worn shocks it might go a bit lower and the ride won't be as comfy.

How does a worn shock have anything to do with ride height? I do, however, agree that it would be less comfortable.

Old, worn shocks won't have as powerful damping, so they'll let the springs compress more, so you'll be hitting the bumpstops more. Also, lowering springs are stiffer too, so soft shocks on stiff springs will lead to a bad ride and bad handling. Unless you've got reasonably fresh shocks, ALWAYS replace them if you're going to be getting lowering springs.

Thanks again guys,

Struts and springs were on the list to be changed. Don't want to go through that labor twice.

Thanks, I like it alot.

I used Tokico Blues and they damp just fine for everyday driving. I would like a little more damping at times. If you can afford the Illumina or the KYB AGX I would highly recommend them.
