Does anyone know if my stock 1991 rx-7 conv. could take my friends 95 stock v6 camaro?

 

I think those Camaros had 200 horsepower. The convertibles are pretty slow off the line. Is his or yours an automatic? The automatic convertibles are even slower

 

I think your vert has a good chance of losing to a Camero even in V6 trim. Mine has a few mods to it and it cannot beat a Camero. maybe if the driver was not very good, or if it were an auto tranny. I know I would own him on a canyon cruise though =)

 

No. 3800 V6 is too much for you.

Go find a 93-94 with the 3.4 and an automatic. You might take one of those.

 

My '90 GXL took out this kids 3.8L V6 camero, both manuals. We were pretty even all through 1st gear, i pulled 1/2 car in 2nd and by mid-third gear i was at least 2 car lenghts ahead. We both had 1 passenger at the time.

The verts (rx-7's) are heavier and slower, so i dunno

 

Only at an autocross .

 

Both my rx and his camaro are auto

 

I have a '95 Camaro & a 88 GXL. The GXL is faster than the camaro, definitely. The Camaro is the 3.4L version & it could not beat my stock GXL. I don't know about the vert. I bet it would be a good race.
