Stock Radio plugs/harness the same between years??
Any one know- I have a radio out of my 90- It's the premium tape player, with a sweet digital Equilaizer/spectrum analyser (stock!!)
Just wondering if this would plug into a an 88 AE.

No.
Different plugs between series.
You could build a plug adapter if you could find a stereo shop with the female (radio) plugs on the 89+ radio and the metra aftermarket radio adapter plug for the pre-89 models. You would just match the colors, then the aftermarket rado adapter would plug into the factory wires on the AE and the female plug would plug into your series 5 radio.
You would also need to get the two little plates that convert the radio opening of the series 4 car from CD/AE system size, to the cassette deck size.
