stock engine

I was wondering if the stock turbo rx7 engine can handle at least 300 hp with proper mods and still reliable. the problem is i dont have enough to get a streetported engine so im gonna get a factory engine. this is my second option. i'll have money next year i just want to get it on the road again.. i was just gonna get a turbo upgrade and intercooler next year. thanks.

I have a friend that is currenty running about 300-320hp. Its street ported, massaged the computer, lightweight flywheel and more. hes still running the original intercooler, says it works just fine. But its been relocated beside the rad. It is one quick machine. good luck with your mods
Cheers
