Stock elec. fan ...needed?

Well today I took off the a/c rad in front of my radiator. I left off the electric fan that was in front of it. Is it really needed? I never saw it work and it squeaked when I turned it. So I just left it off.

no, its only for when the a/c is on. It blocks air to the radiator when its not on.

Wrong and wrong. The electric fan also runs if the coolant temp reaches 207degF, and when it's off air flows through it quite easily.

Even if you don't have A/C, you still have a free cooling fan that'll help the main fan if temps get up. You don't need it, but there's nothing to be gained from removing it either.

I think I'll leave it off. I'm planning on a Koyo very soon anyway.
