Question Stock boost on tII

Can anyone tell me what the stock boost pressure is for a 88 turbo two rx-7? Also if i get a apexi n1 dual exhaust will I need an fcd. Also would a downpipe help the turbo spool up faster?

I think this is right:

87-88 - 5.5PSI
89-92 - 6.5PSI

Yep - the downpipe, exhaust, cat, & intake will help the turbo spool up faster - and cause it to run slight above OEM. Just be sure to get the air/fuel and boost guages on before doing the mods so you'll know if your running too lean/out of spec.

vaughnc has it right. Get yourself the proper instumentation first, then an FCD, then you can worry about downpipes, midpipes, and catbacks.

In gauges you get what you pay for. If you pay big $$$ you will have an awsome gauge. I went with Autometer in my car for the same reason, they were cheap. And they are cheap, the movement isnt as crisp, I am sitll wondering how accurate my boost gauge is (going to verify it soon) and while the autometer A/F gauge is flashy with all it's lights I am not sure how accurate it is, my guess is that it would operate better with a new O2 sensor. I am thinking of adding an exhuast gas temp gauge, if I do so I wll splurge on a good one.
