just starting mods on my 87 t2. I put a boost and mixture gauge in. Does anybody Know what the boost should be? No mods yet just a k&n inbox filter. I want to make sure it's running right before I start.

Thanks in advance

no idea about the stock gauge. I wouldn't even bother to try and read it. you get 4psi in every gear? is it an autometer boost gauge?...

your cats are probably clogged a bit.

Thats probably about right if you don't have any mods, your exhaust is probably partially clogged and without a freeflow intake/exhaust thats what you're going to see on a completely stock car.

Fuel cut I belive is about 8.6psi, just putting an exhaust on can get you into fuel cut territory, then your will need an FCD. Just do a search for FCD and there is alot of information on what it does and what other things you have to do when you use it (fuel upgrades)

I was thinking for next year when I bring it back out of putting a down pipe in and getting the computer reprogramed. I want to be safe, I don't want to blow it. With the computer done will I still need a fcd? Is it worth getting done?
