Stock amp ? other elec system questions.

Where is the stock amp located in S4's ? Today i found out i have brand new Polk Audio speakers all around but the front dash speaker produce no sound. Also my tape player does not work, u can only barely hear it when its turned up al the way. Any idea's as to what the problem might be ?

I am also have problems with cruise control, i do exactly as the owners manual instructs and cruise comes on but, if i let off the gas it will slow down.

Thanx guys.

Just got my FC and truly loving it.

I can't remember where mine was. I was too lazy and put some capacitors or resistors in line. I can't remember. It was a while ago.

That probably didn't help at all but oh well.

No door speakers??? No stock CD??? No stock Pioneer AE.

The basic 87 system used a amp built into the passengers speaker. Its about 25watts a channel.

On the cruise, more than likely if the fuse is not blown the actuator is worn out or the cable has become disconnected.

On a stock deck that would cut the front speaker power by 2/3rds

About the cruise. Go to the engine compartment. The motor for the cruise is located in the far right hand corner. It has a vacuum hose going to it. Check that hose from end to end for leaks, cracks etc. IF it can't hold a vacuum, then the motor will not hold the speed. Also check the cable to the throttle body for being secure.

Don't often like to disagree with you Hailers, but the T2 doesn't have a vacuum line, its electrical on the S4 T2.
