still overheating

still overheating

ok, so my car was runnin ok till a little while ago where it started overheating, like temp gauge goin all the way up. i replaced the thermostat and flushed/refilled the coolant, and this worked for a week or two. now it's startin to get hot again just drivin around. this is my DD so i need to fix it quick/correctly. i havn't searched yet, but i need to get to work liek right now

+1 to the above.

Clutch fan might not be working properly. Also make sure to get all air out of the system. I did the dual pulley setup as well and my temp has never been better.

Are you running the stock radiator? If so might double check it for leaks because mine for awhile was leaking around a few spots around the top.

Replace your radiator cap, It works kind of like a Thermostat. Could help!!

ok, thx for the input.
1.pretty sure (but not totally) it's stock radiator, almost everything in the engine looks like it rolled out of the factory with the rest of the car.
2. i did the flush exactly like from the hayne's, minus drainin engine coolant (was a bitch to get to).
3. teh fan works, so i don't think it's that.

i dunno if it's relevant, but i saw s4's were supposed to be 1/4 way up temp. gauge, but mine always was at half, so i assumed that's where it shoulda been, but i guess not. i'll check the radiator cap and radiator for leaks. not sure what the dual pulley setup is, so i'll check that out.

nevermind.. searched and found :

Will be busy this weekend. Hopefully I didn't damage the motor by running it to 3/4th on the stock guage.
