sticking gauges?

car has been sitting for a year and notice my fuel gauge and temp gauge are sticking a little bit.
they do work sometimes but not all the time. the rest of the gagues work just fine. what could be going on here? they worked fine before she went down

check grounds often cause of intermittent gauge problems. Could have corrosion from sitting.

where would I check the grounds at for these things?

it seems the car is adjusting to temp at least based upon the cold air running.
starts up and runs at around 1500-2000rpms for cold start then slowly starts to drop down to 700-800rpms just like it should when the motor warms up and I don't have the thermo valve stuff on the TB to adjust it just the ECU and BAC. so it must be reading the temp sensor correctly just doesnt' seem to register on the gauge

well notice that the radio is acting a little funny also. almost like it is hitting the protection cuircit. you can hear it turn on and then a split second of music which then cuts out then it's just on then off then on and so forth in little click like burst. even with the volume turned down it is doing it.
as far as the gauges they do work sometimes but not other times. I can be dtriving down the road and out of nowhere my fuel gauge would shoot all the way up to the current fuel level, same with the temp gauge though usually not at the same time. once they turn on they don't seem to go back off though untill I actually turn the car off and let it sit then they go back to sticking again. if I shut it off and then turn it right back on the gauges continue to work again.

you guys said check the grounds but where woudl the grounds be for these things?
