Stereo issues

I'm trying to install an aftermarket head-unit, but I'm not getting any power from the constant 12V supply(Blue/red wire) and I checked this with an ohm-meter, ignition on and off. I checked the audio fuse, and it's fine. What else could be causing my problem?

thx, Cam

In most cars (including my FC) the constant 12v is the yellow wire, ignition is the red, and ground the black wire from the headunit to one of the bolts on the top part inside the centre console area... make sure u ground that black wire before connecting it to power.

To check if ur headunit isn't stuffed, attach the black wire from the headunit to the negative of the battery, and then put the yellow and red to the positive of the battery, it should turn on and spit out a cd if ones in there.

Good luck, Bryan

Check the ROOM fuse.

I think it's maybe 7.5 A.
I had to up mine to 10.

Sometimes the Domelight fuse or Cigarette lighter fuse acts as the constant for the radios, or just pull run a new 12v line from under the dash if necessary.
