Don't know what is causing this. Around 1800RPM, the steering wheel shakes like a wet chihuahua in winter. This is happening IN NEUTRAL (clutch in or out) NOT MOVING. First I thought mounts; engine and transmission. Visually, they look fine, but I could always take them out and get a better look. Then I thought clutch fan, or worse, the flywheel/clutch/PP. However, it only vibrates around 1800RPM. If something were out of balance, it wouldn't be smooth at every other RPM up to 7000RPM. Right at 1800, it just shakes like mad. At 1600, nothing. At 2000 and up, nothing. I have power, it's not hesitating or bogging. I sat in my driveway revving the motor, and it was only in that spot, revving up or coming down. I also revved the motor by pressing the throttle in the engine bay and didn't notice or feel any crazy vibration. It never did this up until this past weekend. The only thing I can think of is... the weather?! I have a standalone computer and I tuned it myself. Maybe the tune at these temps/humidity just hits a certain "frequency" and causes the car to vibrate?
I really cannot think of another cause other than coincidence.

As in driveshaft U-Joints??
Not possible as the car is standing still.
If its only the steering wheel that shakes and not the entire car, it doesnt seem likely that it has anything to do with motor or trannymounts.
Wouldnt hurt to check anyways, and the subframe bolts..
Only link between engine revs and steering wheel is the power steering. Its an easy test to take off the belt and see if that helps.

OK more details... No PS, I have a manual rack. Also no AC. This happens in neutral. I have an aftermarket greddy cast manifold, external wastegate, td06-20g turbo all using a haltech E6k. Warm or cold motor. This car has been running for 2+ years, never happened up until a few days ago. Only happening at 1800RPM. At 7000RPM, the car is perfectly smooth and still.
On my N/A I have a similar vibration, from ~1500-2300 or so it vibrates quite noticeably, then maybe something very slight at around 3000-3200rpm, but other than that perfectly smooth. I always figured it was bad plugs or ignition problems. I am watching this thread now, hope you get yours figured out
Engine mounts.
You can not visually see them because they are like a cup . It will fall apart once you lift the engine to pull them.
Even if it is not the engine mounts, original mounts would be toast by now if you havent changed them yet anyways.

I'll come back to this thread soon enough. Right now I have to get my Honda ready for the next track day, so the 7 goes on the back burner for a bit.
Thanks
