Steering sensor issue.

Sensorin going off like a bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....

So finally I got an alignment, only problem is it keeps going off every now and then.

Looking at the report, I'm assuing it's the "steer ahead" thats important, and its just off -0.02 (vs what it used to be -0.72).

I was wondering is there a way to turn off the sensor, or at lease adjust the range of where it would start beeping.

I doubt it's anything else, because when im at a stop, and i turn the wheel to the left it stops.

search for depowering steering rack (you may need to try a variation but that's the basic idea.) part of the write up will tell you how to disconnect the power steering box.

The tabs of the steering sensor behind the steering wheel may not be aligned into the holes on the steering wheel. Friction between the wheel and sensor may cause it to move and that's why you're temporarily causing it to STFU for a while.

Is the beeping 5 beeps, pause, 5 beeps, on and on?

BTW, the steering angle sensor doesn't care for your vehicle alignment. See FSM links in sig. check out I think Body electrical. Related q - Are your turn signals also not cancelling properly?
