Ideally that's something I'd like to avoid, if I can get the speed-sensing PS to work...

Since...well, parking with manual isn't fun. Plus you can't turn the wheel with one hand while it's parked...

Hell, even a lot race cars have power steering (because otherwise it would be really tiring).

so the lines wouldnt bolt up and it would just work with my ps setup? thats kinda lame...seems like the pump/comp work together as to hot they flow to the rack to affect the ps feel...didnt think any of that was contained within the rack.

Which FC racks Do Not have the hard lines running to each end ?

Im doing an engine swap, & one hard line end fitting is right in the center where the balancer needs to be. I have been calling this hard line less rack a non- speed sensing type , But the list below seems like there is only 2 sensing racks and a manual available.

there are 3 steering racks for the FC

the manual, FB01-32-110F

the 86-92 "fast" rack, 15:1, FB78-32-110B

the 89-91 slow rack, 17:1, FC01-32-110

Another swap I have seen uses this hardline less PS rack, but the owner forgot what model it came off of.

Any info is welcome.
