Unhappy steering problems

Has anyone had this problem? Sometimes if I don't turn my steering wheel when the car starts my power steering doesn't work? I know there are many sensors on this car however i do not know where these sensors for the steering are located.

Thanks in advance. Any help in this matter is appreciated.

check that your wiring isn't wraped around the steering column... that happened to me was hard to turn then easy..then my car shut off...just remove the p/s and cap the lines...its really easy to turn...
