Steering Column wont lock

Steering Column wont lock

alright so ive been replacing my dash with an s5....

i was reattaching the steering column today, all of my family was down here for a mothers day get together...

well im not gonna point fingers, blame people, or anything else....i just wanna know how to fix it....

the steering column will not lock now......it just flops up and down....

what can i do? i have no idea of how to locate the problem, much less fix it.

yea, even with the steering column laying in the floor, i twas locked...i dunno what happened, now it wont lock anywhere

and when i say "wont lock", im not saying the steering wheel can be turned......im saying it moves up and down as if to adjust it.
