steam on window

recently got the car back together w/ the help of marc (thanks).

runs fine, but when i accelrate i see part of my front windshield fog up. right above where the heater hose would be (driver side).

i noticed one day idling i heard a swishing sound...from searching could be air bubbles in system.

another night after parking and going into the store, came back and coolant/water was under the car. from looking under it seemed to be leaking right above starter area.

the coolant level was down, and i had to fill it up usually everytime i parked and came back hours later. it drained down enough to trip the sensor (not a lot), but noticeable.

i bled the system of air lastnight, still got the steam/fog on my front window, lower driver side.

im thinking it is the heater hose from engine to firewall, but i dont see any noticeable leaks.

any ideas?

thanks

Common problem - the heater hose to engine connection under the oil filter.
Acumulated oil drippings weaken the rubber hose.

Is the steam on the inside or outside of the window?

And, yea, that hose clamp going into the side of the engine below the filter is a bitch to tighten. It took me several days to get it to stop leaking.

If it wasn't leaking before, now would be a really good time to replace the hose.

Take it for a spin to heat it up, get a flashlight, and look for the leak. A fresh coolant leak is fairly obvious, it's green & shiny, or steaming.
