startup problem

startup problem

ya i ran the oil low for a couple of days because i forgot to check it and it got really hot a couple of times. now the car has a hard time starting up even though i put new oil in it. does anyone have any idea of what the problem may be or what i probably done to the engine.

How low?
It's quite possible you could have spun a bearing, but you would have had to run completely out of oil.
Other than that, you wouldn't have done any damage to the engine or housings, they can actually run for wuite a long time without the OMP hooked up. A few days isn't going to do much.

It got hot?? Maybe you did completely run out of oil.
You probably spun a bearing, causing a lot of friction inside the engine, causing it to be hard to start.

Go buy a minivan and pay someone else to take care of it.
