oh, and the range you want is 200 or 2000...anything with a K beside it is too high of a range for your purposes...play around with it connected to a battery until you see the proper reading...
I tried everything to get a reading from there. I got nothing. The tester works when I touch the battery. Do I need to have the AFM plugged in and then poke into the wires? Do I leave it unplugged? Do I test from the plug or from the AFM? Should the ignition be on "on"? If not, does the battery need to be hooked up. I'm just looking for any possibility.
Do me a favor, and take a couple of minutes to read the "basic electrical troubleshooting for the rx7" thread, do a search for it...On the AFM you're mainly worried about a 5 volt input, and an output around 3.5 volts, depending on door position. Follow the FSM steps, and if you have any questions other than "how do I use it?", post 'em...
