starts and die... sometimes

Hi,
I bought an 87 TII a few weeks ago and when I start it, the idle drops and die.
However, sometimes it starts up fine and runs good. And if it doesnt, stepping on the gas to warm it up will usually do it. Sometimes that doesnt work tho and the car just dies.

I just gave it a tune-up and now I dont know how to fix it. I checked my error codes and I dont have any.

I spent more than a $1,000 tuning it up and now am starting to get tired of changing everything.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

What did you spend the $1000 on? That might help us trouble shoot a bit better.
My old sev used to do that sometimes, but only when I hadnt driven it for a while, I just gave it some gas immediately so it wouldnt die and it was sweet!

injectors could be really clogged up and have you noticed it "dies" when the weather is cold? or maybe you want to have the compression of the rotors checked

Mine used to do that. Fuel injector cleaner always seemed to help. Though your problem may be different. Also a compression test is always a good idea on old rotarys. At least use a piston compression gauge with the purge valve pushed in and look for consecutive needle sweeps, in the same general area of the gauge. Good luck.

sounds to me like your bac valve is bad or going bad.
uplug it and start the car, if it does the same thing then you have spotted your problem
