Starts better with 3 spark plugs than all 4

So yesterday I'm attempting to fire up my new build (old rotors, new irons and rotor housings) and I'm having a real hard time getting it to start.

I pulled the L1 plug out to check to see if it was firing, turned the key and it started up.

I put the plug back in and again, wldn't start.

After I checked the engine bay for gremlins tried starting again with the plug in and the haltech sw showed the cranking rpm's to be right around 198/200, so I'm thinking the higher compression of the new engine is giving the worn starter a hard time. Release the pressure a bit by pulling a plug and the starter doesn't have to work as hard, starts it right up (even tho missing 25% of the spark).

Gonna try a new starter today. Definitely one of the weirder things I've experienced with this car.

Your also losing a good portion of your fuel mixture that way too. New rebuilds will flood easily until the the seals are broke in, and leaving a plug out leans it out AND lets more air in

Almost sounds to me like you have it set too rich for startup

That's what I thought too. So I experimented with adjusting the cranking fuel map down with no success. Also attempted adjusting the Primed Pulse map w/the same results.

I've has this issue with my 13b pp running an Adaptronic e1280d
It absolutely refuses to start with all four in. Remove the L1 and bam, it fires up.
My suggestion is to try to reconfigure it back to wasted spark and try it again,
